Maintaining good Mental Health during lock down is possible. If you are going through tough times, if you feel anxiety or discomfort then I want you to know that you are not alone.
Mental peace during lockdown is becoming a question of concern by so many people. With the cases of the covid patients rising every day, so many people are living with fear in their hearts.
W.H.O. has marked the disease as a pandemic.
So far, no one has concluded that on what basis does the virus attack? But one thing is for sure, unlike humans, the virus doesn’t attack based on caste, class, religion, height, or age.
Is coronavirus pandemic affecting our mental health?
The coronavirus has attacked people across the globe. People have locked themselves up in their homes just to save themselves from the disease, leading to a high rise in mental health problems. So many are losing their mental peace because of it. People have been continuously questioning. What are some ways to cope up with the stress and fear experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic? How to maintain mental and physical health during COVID-19?
To help people, who are going through this difficult patch in their life, I am sharing a few points that will be helpful to maintain mental peace during a lockdown :
Mental peace is about switching off the negatives
Keeping yourself updated about what’s happening around you is wise. Knowing what precautions should be taken during the pandemic is wise. But talking about the pandemic or hearing about the pandemic all day long is not wise ATOL.

Switch off all the negative mediums in your life.
News channels, WhatsApp messages, radio channels. that friend/relative who continuously talks in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, it’s time to maintain distance from them. Just put a full stop on any or every medium that makes you uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter what/who the medium is, if it doesn’t make you comfortable, cut it off.
Switch off the negatives and switch on the positive channels of your life.
Mental peace is not about feeling okay always.

There are times when we feel sad. There are days when we are demotivated and end up feeling vulnerable. If you are going through any of these feelings, I want you to know that it’s perfectly normal. You are not the only one who is feeling lost. Trust me, when you realize that you are not the only one, you will start feeling better.
During the pandemic or even before it, we all have felt the anxiety. The feeling of not knowing what’s going to happen next.
Those days when we want to just curl up in our bed and sleep because we feel we can’t take it anymore.
My friend, take it from me, it’s a pretty normal feeling. You are not the only one who is going through such feelings.
The best way to cope up with all your feelings is to first accept that you are not feeling okay. Only after we accept that we are not feeling fine, is the time that we would be ready to bring in change.
Remember, the one who doesn’t accept his flaws, can’t grow in life. ,
Mental peace is all about doing what you love.

Close your eyes and think about doing what you love to do. It can be anything.
Did you feel instant happiness? That, my friend, is the way you can attract happiness in your life. Now, imagine if just the mere thought of doing what you love can make you smile, what wonders will it do if you start working on it?!
When we do anything that makes our hearts happy, we start feeling good. It doesn’t have to be anything big. Start indulging yourself in daily activities that make you happy. It can be dancing, painting, sketching, music or baking too. Anything that makes you smile and makes you feel light at heart, just do it. Even if what makes you happy seems a little far to access right now, start moving towards it.
Don’t think what the world will think. Only you are responsible for your happiness and you must not forget that.

Talking and sharing thoughts is good for your Mental Health.

Talking and sharing thoughts always help. I remember, even during school days, just sharing my problem with my elder sister always made me feel so sorted. Just hearing,” it’s not a big deal, I am with you.” made all my scary thoughts vanish. Magical it felt.
And now after 15 years, nothing seems to have changed. Talking to my loved ones, sharing how I feel, still helps. Though all of it seems more logical to me now.
It doesn’t matter how big or small the issue in your life is. Once we share what’s in our heart, we feel light.
So next time you feel that you are not feeling good, just pick up the phone and call. Call the one who you feel, understands you the best. Partner, kid, parent, friend, or that distant relative, can be anyone.
And if you feel that no one understands you well, then don’t ever hesitate from taking professional help. Rather, I feel when we seek professional help we feel lighter because we are more honest about our feelings.
Many of us hesitate while seeking professional help but little do we know that going to a counselor is a sign of being confident in yourself. A good counselor will never judge you and will guide you in the best possible way.
Sharing thoughts and feelings is a sign of strength, don’t think of it as a shortcoming.
Manifestation benefits your Mental Health

Manifesting a life that you dream off acts as a therapy for your mental health.
The law of attraction says that you attract what you feel and think. Once you start imagining a beautiful life for yourself, you start to realize that slowly your dreams have started to come true. Trust me, when I say, it works.
Every morning when you wake up, dedicate the first few minutes to yourself. Imagine yourself in your dream house, doing your dream job. Smile. say I am healthy. Today is going to be a wonderful day. Not just in the morning, try and visualize your dream as many times as you can. think about good things happening in your life. Imagine how you will buy your first car? What speech will you give when you receive an award for your hard work?
A few years back when I started manifesting my dreams to be true, I barely could understand its power. Initially, I dreamt of a better life because it made me feel good. And then came the phase of my life where I started taking action to be able to see my dreams nearer. Though now, I have bigger dreams to achieve (that’s how we humans are. Arent we?) when I look back on the way my life has transformed, I can now actually see the power of manifestation. I never thought that someday I could write “writer” with my name. So, that’s how the power of manifestation worked for me.
I have also learned that manifesting a bigger dream to achieve is not important. It all starts with the little joys of life. Participation and appreciation are better than winning.
Manifest happiness to achieve the joys of life.
YOU ARE MORE POWERFUL AND CAPABLE THAN YOU KNOW.
