I have been a voracious reader from my early teenage years. I always felt thrilled to try out new things because I had read motivational books for students. Every book I read taught me something new. Some books made me wonder about the fairy world that I once believed existed. Few left me mesmerized by the stories of powerful kings. And then there were books that changed my life. Books that motivated me to believe in myself.
Today I feel motivated because I read the best books for teenagers in my school days. The habit of reading in the early years of my life brought big changes in my life.
They say that motivation can’t be bought. But I say that motivation can surely be felt. It is a self-awakening feeling. A feeling that you build while reading incidents that happened in the book. The incidents tell you that you are not alone and you can win with your situation too.
Not all but a few books brought out that feeling in me.
To believe in me, to try new hobbies, and to never stop loving myself. These are a few of the many lessons that I learned by reading the best motivational books of all time.
- Today, I want to share a list of the best motivational books of all time with you all. Books that will empower you to think and grow. Motivational books for students and everyone wishes to learn for life.
5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins
This book has to be number one on my list. This book was published by author Mel Robbins in 2017. Mel is also a renowned motivational speaker.
In this book, Mel shares how this simple 5-second rule changed her life completely.
Mel had a habit of hitting the snooze button (like most of us)every morning. Because of which she got late in everything she did. Confused mornings lead to hectic days. Kids got late for school. She had no time to sip her coffee peacefully in the morning. Her work life got hampered too.
Later she explains how she started counting 5-4-3-2-1 and started her day like a Rocket. No matter how soft and warm the bed felt, she counted 5-4–3-2-1 and left the bed. This one simple practice of starting the day on the right note brought all the positive change that she wanted.
Mel further started using the 5-second rule in every small decision that she took. Mel shares that there is a scientific reason why and how the 5second rule works.
You can read the book here and bring this new habit into practice. The 5 Second Rule
Who moved my Cheese by Spencer Johnson
Who moved my cheese has to be one of the best motivational books for students. When the best-laid plans in our life don’t go as planned, adapting to change becomes difficult. We generally have a natural tendency to avoid change because we are afraid of new beginnings.
The author, Spencer Johnson, very beautifully explains the change. How we react to seeing change, anticipating change, and adapting to change.
This book has four main characters, sniff & scarry(mice) and hem & haw These little characters represent us. Spencer Johnson explains how sometimes we act like Sniff who sniffs out change early. Or scurry who scurries into action. And sometimes we act like Hem who denies and resists change as he fears it will lead to something worse. And then there are people like haw, who learn to adapt in time when they see changing can lead to something better.
The book beautifully teaches us that the biggest inhibitor to change lies within ourselves. And nothing gets better until we change.
I recommend this book not only for adults but a great book to be read by students too. Who moved my Cheese
Become A Junior Entrepreneur by Vrunda Bansode.
This book caught my attention when my 10-year-old kid came to me and said that I want to be an entrepreneur. I was bowled over by the intensity with which my young entrepreneur said it. It is difficult to capture a child’s attention and to capture it for good for something good feels empowering. Vrunda Bansode has written beautifully written this motivational book for students.
Become A Junior Entrepreneur is a book that gives a hands-on crash course on entrepreneurship to every kid.
The book motivates the kids to create, sell and make money. The book also shares various ideas and procedures to get the game rolling for our young entrepreneurs.
As a parent, I don’t expect my young kid to be successful at this age. But this book taught my little girl about the value of money. A junior Entrepreneur
Atomic habits by James Clear
This book is all about the power of breaking bad habits and bringing in the good ones. The book explains how changes in our daily routines can help us to eat healthier, happier, and more productive lives.
With practical evidence from neuroscience and psychology, the book teaches us the power of Habit. James Clare very effectively teaches how we can actually bring in change by following the power of habit.
The book explains how tiny habits and minuscule changes can grow into life-altering lessons and lead to a healthier, happier life.
James Clear taught me to use the momentum of the old habit to make the new habit easy to initiate. And the second most important thing that I learned is to synchronize and score.
This book will bring change in your life, to reach your goals more effectively. Atomic habits is the best book when it comes to motivational books for students. Atomic habits
The Success Principles by Jack Canfield
This is a book that takes you on the path of being successful. The book takes you from where you are and where you want to be in life.
Jack Canfield motivates you to reach your success through basic principles that can be applied in life.
Few success principles from the book impacted me more. They helped me to choose the right path.
Jack Canfield’s success principles suggest:99% is hard. 100%percent is easy. Jack Canfield very explains that if we try 99% we leave 1% of doubt. It’s 1% of doubt makes it difficult for us.
Take full responsibility:
where you are, what you do, and what you want to do in the future. Stop blaming things, people, and incidents for where you are in life. Only you are responsible for your life.
Become an inverse paranoid:
We often think negatively. We think that everything in our life is going in the wrong direction. Everybody is against us and no one is there to understand us. The universe seems to be conspiring against us. But what if we reverse this thought and start thinking the other way round? What if you start thinking in a positive way every time you get a negative thought. Reverse the thought by thinking that whatever is happening is happening for your good. This way get motivated and stop being a victim and you start concentrating on your growth.
Act as if:
this principle is something I practice every day. This principle made me act, think, believe, and talk like I am already there where I want to be in life. I think this will send a powerful command to your subconscious brain and help you achieve your goals. Act like you’re already there. If you want to write then read the most you can. If you want to be a chef then start practicing cooking as early as you can. And if you want to be a motivational speaker then record and share a video every day. Don’t bother who is listening or not. Act like you are already a successful motivational speaker.
Lean into it.
Open yourself to opportunities without any doubt or any notions of success. Don’t think too much about the results. Perfection will automatically follow if you like what you do. Whatever it is that you want to do. You will grow through time and experience. Nothing happens if you just keep thinking.
Success Principles is a great read for students. It is a motivational book for students that empowers them to think differently and grow in the correct direction. The Success principles
The 10x Rule by Grand Cardon
If there is any guarantee of success that is universally available to everyone that will be it.
The 10 X rule might sound like generic advice but the 10 X goals are bigger than what most people can imagine achieving.
Grand garden in the 10 X rule teaches us to multiply our goals. If you are thinking about having a healthy body, think about getting a trophy for having the healthiest body. Or if you are thinking about writing a book then think about writing a book that becomes the best seller of the year.
Living by the 10 X rule gives you a sense of purpose, it builds your confidence because your aim is high and it definitely will help you overcome procrastination. It will give you extreme satisfaction because you will achieve goals you never imagined.
This taught me that our thoughts limit our actions and our actions limit our achievements so we cannot achieve success with mediocre thoughts.
Whatever it is just 10X and see the joy, the success, the fame, the name the simple principle brings to you.
If you are a learner for life then this is the most powerful motivational book for students. The 10x Rule
The Millionaire booklet by Grant Cardone:
if you are looking for motivational books for students from the academy of life, then this is it.
Grant Cardone says the reason most people never get rich is that they never ever consider it to be a possibility. It is a highly motivating and influential book. In this book, he shares 8 rules to reach massive success in life.
Success is your duty you need to have it. Consider it to be your prime responsibility to work towards it.
Put some money and gather it up. Earn well to save well.
Multiply income– Once you learn to save and invest your income, you will learn the art of multiplying your income.
Stay broke– A very famous saying and I also believe in it. If you buy things that you don’t need soon you will have to sell things that you need. Think before wasting your money.
Search opportunities- Search for opportunities and invest when you think a good opportunity comes your way.
Hire well – Hire well and build a vast network. Work with people who have a similar vision of growth like you. This way you will be able to build a dependable flow of income.
Repeat number 6.
Motivational books for students are of great power and The Millionaire’s booklet has this power. The Millionaire’s booklet

I really like this list. I am planning to read Atomic Habits and The Millionaire Booklet. Sometimes, the written word helps reinstate the belief system faster than just trying to change the habits mentally. Must make this an execution plan.
