Love of my life is Whiskey. Don’t judge me on that. Love Whiskey or hate it, you certainly can’t ignore its charisma.
I love Whiskey, rather I love the after effects of whiskey. The vibe that is created just by holding the glass of whiskey lights up the mood on the dullest days. Few glasses or shots of Whiskey have the capability of grooming your walk and talk.
Ever imagined what would happen if whiskey could talk ? What if Whiskey had its own perspective and thoughts ?
As weird as the thought seems, I would like to bring some structure to this thought, so here I bring you The Autobiography of whiskey!? Yes, you read it right. When we humans can write and read about great people and their amazing stories, why not about whiskey. I mean all the whiskey consumers would agree that whiskey is not only the love of my life but yours too. And not just that, we all know the fact that whiskey is behind so many amazing, stupid, happy, dark stories.
So here begins the perspective of whiskey in its own words.
Autobiography of Whiskey
My journey begins with a lot of respect. Many people put their heart and soul to give me that perfect taste. Oh my perfect smell, that is specially given to attract all the fools. The aroma is so exclusive.
Funny part is that most of the whiskey lovers don’t even know that my actual, natural form is non-consumable. Seriously, if whiskey or for that matter any type of alcohol, is consumed without any filtration, the human body will not be able to accept it.
Well, I am not here to talk about my shortcomings. I certainly don’t want my crazy fans to think that I am harmful in any way.
So, let’s start with my, that is, whiskey life cycle.
Whiskey is the most common and subtle way of being cool among youngsters. School and college life is all about having the first drink with your besties. Some shout out loud after having a sip of me and some gather the balls to confess their love!
The good part about making me a part of the youth parties is that slowly and gradually I become a vital part in their lives too.
As famously quoted by F. Scott Fitzgerald,
“First you take a drink, then drink takes a drink and then the drink takes you!“
Didn’t get what I am saying !? No worries, you will understand every bit of whiskey and its indulgence in your lives as we dig deeper.
Story time:

So here begins my story in Sue’s life. The story is about how whiskey (I) entered Sue’s life. How whiskey became the love of Sue’s life and completely fucked it.
Sue was 17 years old, it was her high school farewell party. It was finally time to bid school life a good bye..
Sue was excited to attend the party but at heart she also felt nervous. She knew she would be going to London for her higher education. It would be a completely new and different life.
Sue had plans to join her father’s linen manufacturing company. She wanted to market and advertise her father’s clothing range overseas too.
Sue’s parents knew that they were blessed to have a daughter like Sue. They knew that their daughter is talented, ambitious and leads her life with a go-getter attitude.
Little did they knew, I (whiskey) was just waiting to enter her life to show my talent and my “go get her attitude.”
Sue entered her farewell party with a mindset of being the first one to get out of there .However, her girl gang pulled her by her arm and said, no way dude! Don’t be a spoilt sport.
Ray, the girl who was the loudest personality of the group, stood up and said, “ guys have whiskey, let’s try some. They all laughed, gave high fives and soon Ray very efficiently had got a bottle of vodka on the table.
For most of the girls in the group, it was their first time. Pretty obvious that whiskey tasted bitter for them. Some made their drinks with coconut water, some tried with Orange juice too. The entire girl gang felt on cloud nine and why not!! That’s what I do, right?!
It was a super exciting and adventurous party for the girls. Sue had two glasses of vodka. That was the first time she felt like a free bird. Swinging her arms on the rock music, she couldn’t care less about anything and laughed her heart out. She had no clue how she felt so light at heart and why she was laughing at everything happening around. ( Trust me no one does)
Little tipsy, the girl gang went home merrily singing songs.
A week later Sue went to London to pursue her MBA. She felt a certain magic in London’s air. The broad streets, clean fresh air, and super cool vibe of London nightlife. Sue had made three friends too. Two guys and a girl. All four of them were youngsters with big dreams and led their life with passion and ambition.
Sue soon started feeling that she belonged to London.
Just like London slowly and gradually without much realization whiskey had also become, like it belonged to her. Whiskey had become her excuse to party a little extra on the days Sue celebrated (with or without friends)
Sue knocked herself up on the days she felt lonely and missed home.
Whiskey slowly became the cushion in Sue’s life. It made her feel at ease. Gave her peace, numbed her vigorously active mindset.
To some it up Whiskey had become the love of her life.
One thing that went on good was that she was never a day drinker. Sue religiously studied during the day. She scored good and was popularly known as the “hammered A grader” in her university. The name said it all, Sue was the topper in her batch but had a great capacity of knocking herself up with tequila shorts.
After 2 years of MBA when it came to implementing ideas into action, Sue failed every bit of it. The reason was simple, she thought she was not an alcoholic but little did she know that whiskey had played its magic. Whiskey had very efficiently swayed her life.
How whiskey ruined Sue’s life ?
Sue’s days started being focused more on “who will be her drinking partner tonight. Or what type of whiskey should she consume for the night. Rather than the business she wanted to take overseas.
The ambition was still there but it lagged the focus.
Sue’s parents were happy with her creative mindset but also understood that she lagged implementation skills. Her father counseled her, guided her. But because she lived overseas he never knew the fact that his daughter wakes up post noon with a buzzing head.
I am pretty sure, you might be thinking that whiskey is not to be blamed if Sue lost her self control. Everyone has the right to enjoy one or two drinks.
Of Course I agree with you. But little do my fans realize that the proportion of the sophisticated whiskey consumers is far less than the retards who lose self control every night.
Whiskey is not only responsible for shattering brains but is also responsible for broken marriages, failed business, poor health and not to mention aloud the one night stands.
Why do I like whiskey?
Well first things first, if you like me (whiskey),you must know that I adore all my fans. Of Course without any discrimination.
Those who want to know why you like me, the answer is pretty simple. I have a lot of qualities.
1. Whiskey gives you wisdom – have a glass or two and whiskey will give you knowledge beyond your imagination. You will have knowledge more than the greatest professors. You will talk, rather debate about topics you have no clue about.
2. Whiskey gives you strength – whiskey gives you the strength to overcome your fears and dares too.
Breaking glasses or legs, nothing hurts when I run in your blood.
3. Whiskey knows its enemies -Love of your life is Whiskey so anyone who tries to stop you from my consumption is your enemy. Be it your friends or family. Your mom or your spouse. They are all wrong because they can’t comfort you like I can.
4. Whiskey knows it all – I help to fuel the loud engines in your head. No fear. No regrets. Do it as you please because I will bring you the confidence that you are never wrong.
5. Break a glass or a heart, you will feel confident and correct till the time I run in your blood. Broken glasses or hearts in anger are all going to feel alright.
6. Benefits of Saying NO – The power of saying no doesn’t work here because it keeps your dopamine high. The urge of “one more drink ” goes on and on.
Is it good to drink Whiskey ? Rather is whiskey worth it ?
Whiskey is totally worth it. I bring so much chaos and drama in everyone’s lives. I give you confidence, power and a sense of belonging too.
So what if people around my fans don’t think so!
I mean your mother is absolutely wrong if she thinks I harm your body.
Your spouse is wrong too if they feel I have invaded your relationship.
Your co-workers and friends are assholes if they film your drunk stories.
And before I forget to mention, every good thing comes with a price so don’t bother looking at your bank statement. I know I have made an impressionable mark in your bank statement too.
Dear whiskey Lovers
I am writing this, because I somehow feel that I do understand the psychology of whiskey consumers. Wait! Rather I understand the stupid mentality of whiskey lovers.
I want you to know that I don’t have a problem with whiskey consumers . But I fail to understand when people overdo Whiskey and embarrass themselves.
P.S. Drinking is not injurious to health until you realize it.

Such a unique take on whiskey’s journey! Loved reading this—it’s a fun and insightful way to reflect on how we interact with our favorite drink.!Whiskey can be a great companion when enjoyed responsibly.
